Risto Puurunen

Risto Puurunen is a self-taught musician and visual artist who builds both his instruments and his art from scrap metal, wire and light effects. His artistic work includes immersive spatial works that utilize "stereo light", shadows, and 3D glasses. He is particularly known as a member of the band Cleaning Women, with whom he has performed internationally, provided live accompaniment to silent films, and composed music for movies.
Additionally, Puurunen plays a key role in Haihatus, where he serves on the steering group, participates in the association maintaining the activities, and owns properties and land managed by the association
