Magnus Strandberg
Visual artist (Master of Arts), b.1980. Lives in Helsinki, Finland
Magnus Strandberg (b. 1980) is a visual artist, principally working with installations combining different kinds of media and materials. At the core of his artistic practice is a dialogue between digital and material, site-specificity and (moving) images, produced with camera and digital means. Light, materiality and bodily experience are essential to his installations. The works often represent an effort to create links between personal and shared experiences, revolving around subject matter such as memories, human contact, the passing of time, relation to nature and queer history.
Strandberg graduated from Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture in 2015, and has been working professionally as a visual artist since then.
