Light unfolding through colour, surface, and straight lines
Untitled is a work that brings together light, colour, and straight lines. The forms and colours show different ways of observing light: colours, tones of black and white, solid and transparent surfaces, lighting conditions, and the viewer’s perception all create new discoveries within the work. The light of the piece can also change subtly in response to weather conditions and the rhythm of the day. For me, abstract forms contain a sense of mystery, as if they invite the viewer to approach something unknown. The work draws on the legacy of modernist and suprematist tradition, where abstraction does not try to separate itself from nature or experience, but reminds us of our connection to them. The forms do not explain themselves; instead, they create a space where they can be seen and understood in their own way. Observing light, colour, and straight lines becomes a way to move beyond logic and connect perception with a dialogue between inner and outer experience.
