Markku Uimonen: Shadow of Light

A neon diptych.

In nature, shadow is considered a result of the obstruction of light, i.e an object between the source of light and the surface creates a darker projection.

A shadow can also be described as a dark figure cast upon a surface by a body intercepting the rays of light.

Shadow of Light challenges reality by creating fountain-like shadows without any obstructing object.

Master of Arts, b. 1965, lives in Helsinki, Finland
