Anna Björklund: Light Beings

The film-based work portrays light as a living being.

Light Beings is a single-channel or multi-channel video work, which has been filmed with artist-made pinhole cameras. The GIF-like videos portray light as a three-dimensional living being, that twirls and slithers around other organic matter. The work invites viewers to question the nature of light. The work can be displayed as a projection or as an installation.

Anna Björklund (she/her) is a visual artist and curator who lives and works in Fiskars, Finland. Playfulness with ideas, words, and motion are at the center of her work.
