Jussi Kamunen: Hehkuva häiriö - Glowing Disturbance

The Glowing Disturbance: a monolith glowing in the darkness.

The Glowing Disturbance is a monolith that radiates in the darkness, where light, glass lenses, and sound merge into one. Shimmering crystal-like crushed glass and mist reflect light into the surroundings and toward the sky, creating a breathing, mysterious atmosphere. The work contemplates the meaning and difficulty of communication, as well as the diversity of perspectives, drawing inspiration from data streams, their disruptions, and the complexity of human interaction. Constructed from unused raw eyeglass lenses, the elements invite the viewer to see the world through unpolished lenses — and to form new, personal perspectives.
