Alexander Salvesen: Large Scale Analog Projections
Site-specific artwork. Handpainted glass slides projected on the surface.
The artwork is always especially made for the venue, and the projection is usually done onto a facade or wall surface. The artwork can consist of one or many handpainted images. The work is realised using large scale dia projectors also known as Pani-projectors, in which the handpainted glass slide is placed. It is also possible to realize a kinetic installation with moving images. The projections can be realised both outdoors and indoors. The size, technique and theme will be decided on a case by case basis depending on the desired venue, budget and available time. The artwork can be a small room sized utilizing one projector, or fill an entire industrial hall or cover the whole face of a building with many projectors. The work needs support structures, proofing for weather, outside usually in the form of a container with a window.
Required technology:
The work need one 32A power for each projector. Smaller projectors also available depending on venue. The work needs a cover for weather (wooden roof structure etc).

Depends on the size. Smaller ones can be realised in one day, bigger more labourious works needs venue checks, pre production and multiple days on site.
